Animation crossed the Human-like borders?

That's a good question!
I always thought that a Human Being is so full of particulars that it would be hard, if not impossible, to digitally reproduce it right now. I always thought that it could take almost other ten years before to have a credible synthesis recreated human.
Those guys from Image Metrics broke the Uncanny Valley barrier showing us that there is no limit on what we can reach and when we can reach it.
